bio

I grew up in Vermont when Killington was still country. I felt isolated and different there, partly because of my father's alcoholism. It's taken me a long time to mature out of blame, anger, and guilt because I couldn't forgive my father and his disease. Throughout my life, artwork has helped me to be present with myself and to heal. The images on this site are testaments to the joy, humor, and sense of mystery that eventually overrode the pain, bringing me back to my self. I paint using collage, acrylic, and wax.
