Suzanne work includes encaustic paintings, oil paintings and tabletop sculptures. In all her work there is full evidence of vibrant color, delicate texture, and an enigmatic narrative. Encaustic paintings are made by using a torch to fuse layers of beeswax and pigment creating lush, thick, visually tactile paintings. The table top sculptures combine vintage materials, wire, and felted wool. The play between fake math, serious mechanics, and tender moments interact. Her oil paintings are juicy and reflect our times.

Suzanne has a MA. of Education in Creative Arts in Learning from Lesley University, B.A. from University of Mich., Graduate ceramics certificate from the degree program at U. of Wisc. , has studied in France, Germany, participated in many workshops/residencies such as at Haystack in Maine and Castle Hill in Truro on the Cape.

Suzanne has had a studio at 6 Vernon St. for over 20 years where she has become known for showing new surprising work every year. Come see her colorful uplifting studio!
